Handmade Mixed Metal Star Earrings: Sterling Silver & Copper Boho Jewelry

After texturing the sterling silver metal clay and copper metal clay, sanding, and cutting out the shapes, the pieces are fired in an electronically temperature-controlled kiln for the maximum applicable time to ensure the highest quality jewelry. During the firing process the organic binder in the clay is burned off leaving pure Sterling Silver and copper. I oxidize the pieces to bring out the texture then finish the process by polishing, burnishing, and tumbling them.

I finish the earrings with sterling silver ear wires and a brass rivet.


The earrings measure 1 1/4 each long with a drop length of 1 3/4 inches which includes jump rings. They measure 1/2 inch wide towards the base of the earrings.
