These whimsical dandelion earrings were handmade by me using Sterling Silver clay.

After texturing the clay, sanding, and cutting out the shape, After texturing the sterling silver clay on both sides, sanding, and cutting out the shapes, the pieces are fired in an electronically temperature-controlled kiln for the maximum applicable time to ensure the highest quality of jewelry. During the firing process the organic binder in the clay is burned off leaving pure Sterling Silver. I finish the process by polishing, burnishing, and tumbling them.

The earring measure 3/4 inch round with a drop length of 1 1/4 inch

Sterling Silver clay is a wonderful medium that starts out in a clay form consisting of sterling silver and binder. After firing in the kiln, the binder burns off and the end result is a beautiful piece of fine silver which is .999 fine silver.
